Elliott team leads this week's NASCAR penalty train

The No.9 team from Hendrick Motorsports has been issued an L1-level penalty for an infraction last weekend at ISM Raceway.

Chase Elliott’s Chevrolet was one of those taken to the NASCAR R&D Center where it was found to have a rear suspension infraction. Per the NASCAR penalty report, the truck trailing arm space/pinion angle shim mating surfaces must be planar and must be in complete contact with corresponding mating surfaces at all points and at all times.
